Odeum Farms attended an emergency round table meeting with the Minister of Agriculture this week. Alannah MacTiernan called the emergency meeting to express the departments ongoing support into finding and fast tracking solutions in regards to the psyllid virus that has impacted the WA state over the past few months. It was revealed that the state had made some headway into WA primary producers exporting non host psyllid produce lines interstate without fumigation by means of alternative protocol and permits being established and accepted by our Eastern States counterparts. It was expressed that there was still a lot more work to be done and the department were highly committed to solving these issues. Odeum Farms are proud to be a part of shaping the broader industry to achieve better outcomes for all. We are always committed in assisting the department at ground roots level in helping government to fully comprehend farmers needs so they are equipped to effectively improve in the decision making process.
